Valkan - Doornrossje EP - Primevil

"The Doornrossje EP is yet another prime release off of Primevil. The sound created has a very dark but still progressive feel that has journey written all over it. Two of the three cuts carry a faster rhythm but have distinctly progressive sounds alongside a tech house beat. The flip side is a little slower but extremely dark. Although it is dark and aggressive, it too contains progressive vibes. The combination of a background of beautiful high notes with a dark and moving bassline and a hint of tribal proves to be well produced from one end to the other. " - Wesley Davis

Underground Reflections - Mistic Waves - Shockers

Mistic Waves by Underground Reflections is a very weird and unique record that may only appeal to those who have an extremely open mind about electronic music. One side of the record consists of a dirty and melodic bassline and has an extremely up-beat te - Wesley Davis

Soulwatcher - Spring Break EP - Primevil

"The Spring Break EP is a smoothed out tech house record, releasing a sound that would flow nicely placed near the end of a set, and work perfectly at any sunrise session. Marco Baily and Redhead combine to produce a driving yet deep and atmospheric sound. The Spring Break EP contains three cuts, each different and unique from one another, but carrying a universal vibe. One particular track is a little houseier, with tribal elements and a minimal female vocal, which add to its character. The other two are deeper and sound more timeless, with some innovative combinations of high-pitched sounds. " - Wesley Davis

Leandro Gamez - I'm One of Them - Superbra

"I'm One of Them stands as a best pic because of one of the four tracks contained. It has a thick, drawn out bassline that fluctuates tones, adding to its depth. The tempo is up beat with bongos, and filled out by progressive sounds placed mathematically throughout the track. It is very professionally produced due to sharp, crisp beats that constantly change. An intelligent female voice compliments the variety of background elements intertwined rhythmically in the track for an overall deep, moving sound riding to completion. The other three cuts are more minimal tech house and are respectable in any sense. The unique and well-put together qualities that make one cut amazing are not found in the other three. The track is highly recommended and should turn many heads when played. Leandro Gamez's level of production seems right in line and is a name to regularly look out for. " - Wesley Davis

Kama Arts - Crucial Experience - Convert

"From the start "Crucial Experience" expresses its smooth, metallic, tribal essence. Each side uses variations in tempo with background layers of sound to accent the progress or regress of the record. Both sides have an industrial sound to them, which gives the record a structured, quality sound. A great feature of this record is the attitude it gives off. This attitude is portrayed with a hard and serious style, leaving a driving but not too ridiculous feel to it. Layers of sound accenting the tempo are added to give the track depth and move it to a more complex and intellectual level. " - Wesley Davis

GO Dimaggio - Signs of Life EP - Communicato

"The record contains three cuts, two of which caught my attention. The first is minimal and produces a smooth, funky tech house sound. Tribal elements are heard throughout, combining with a slightly funky bassline, to give it a warm feel. The other track is also funky, with less tribal sounds. It's a very catchy track and would be very dancer friendly. Either one could be used early in a set used for building or progressing onto harder tracks. When pitched high enough it gives the high-energy funky feel associated with a style like Dave Angel. The third cut is too minimal and lacks overall quality, but there are two tracks that are worth listening to. " - Wesley Davis

Christian Smith & John Selway - Yess - Underwater

"With their release of "Yess," Smith and Selway once again prove to be a duo among duos in the electronic music spectrum. Each side has a different style giving the DJ options on what direction they may want to go. A harder electro tech house track that would run easily run through a dance floor fits on one side. It is composed of heavy electro tribal sounds that grab on and don't let go. The other is more progressive and not as aggressive, but still possesses the necessary force to move a party that Smith and Selway tend to have. " - Wesley Davis
